IOM’s interventions in Pakistan focus on improving resilience and ensuring humane and dignified migration for three population groups through; Provision of information campaigns, transport assistance and health screening for undocumented Afghan migrants returning to Afghanistan in 2017; Shelter and WASH Preparedness, response and recovery activities catering for populations affected by natural disasters including seasonal flooding and earthquakes; and Shelter and Livelihoods recovery and rehabilitation support for IDP families returning to origin villages in KP/FATA.

Shelter and Non-food items

    Provide coherent and tailored information to populations affected by complex crises in coordination with humanitarian clusters, Humanitarian Regional Team, Returns Task Force, FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and establish communication mechanisms and procedures to build self-reliant communities who are able to share information, take informed decisions and interact with service providers to impact humanitarian interventions.
